Contempt charges possible after adoption goes through
Do you know if they will still file contempt of court charges on past due child support even after the step parent adoption goes through for the amount they owe, the bio owes over 16,000 , but I am not sure if they will even push enforcing the past amount she owes if the we do the adoption?

Hello
They should. What you are trying to recover is past dept. Once the adoption is final then she would be no longer responsiable but the past she is still accountable for. Good luck
