Oklahoma papers....
Hi, I'm looking for oklahoma adoption papers. The courthouse keeps saying I need to contact an attorney because they're the only ones that have them....and I know that's a line of bull....I made some, but I don't know if they'll work...could a paralegal type look over the ones I've created and make sure they'll do, or better yet, does anyone have specific Oklahoma papers? If so, you can send them to me at krysty_underwood@yahoo.com Thanks so much!

We had to get a lawyer to get ours and we arent in Oklahama a paralegal may be able to look them over but your best bet would probably be to pay a lawyer to givey ou the papers andn othing else he shouldnt charge too much if you plan on doing vereything else yourself.

You can try one of the law libraries (either in your courthouse or at one of the 3 law schools in the state---OU, OCU or TU) and see if you can find any in Vernon's Oklahoma Forms.
I have to tell you, though, I do think you need to get an attorney. Each petition is different, so even if you can find some guideline forms to use as templates, you need to be sure you're putting the right information in them. It's better to hire someone to help you get it right the first time than make errors and drag out what's already an emotional process. |
