Well, I'll start off by saying, Hi! I'm Melissa. I've been married 2.5 years, and my husband and I have a gorgeous son together.
I have a 3.5 year old daughter, and that's the reason I'm here today.
Her bio dad hasn't seen her since April of 02, and he's never paid a dime. We had PPOs on him for 2 years after he threatened to kill me and take Leah. We were planning on filing for adoption right after we had been married for 2 years, but I knew he'd put up a fight and possibly be violent again. I just found out he's in Prison, serving a LIFE sentence (for murder), and now I'm scared. I don't want my daughter to have anything to do with this man!
How do we get started? Is there anyway he can not be notified of the exact date of court (as he can't be there anyway)? He has a lot of connections, and I just keep picturing someone waiting outside the courtroom to kill us (he's a freak like that-why I broke up with him...) I just need some serious help!!!!
