Wonderful Step parent adoption!
I was adopted by my Mom's husband when I was 10 yo. It was absolutely the best thing that ever happened to me. My biological father had never had anything to do with me and my stepfather that I had previously was very abusive to me. This man that adopted me, my Dad, was a wonderful, caring father. Unfortunately, he died when I was 19. But in my heart, he has and always will be my Dad! I am now 35 yo and still think of him all the time and the many ways that he changed my life. Just wanted to let you all know that stepparent adoptions can turn out wonderful and can change a childs life for the better.
