Is there a do-it-yourself-adoption kit?

The cost through an attorney is over 600.00 and I know that I can file the papers myself for just over 100.00 plus the cost of the newspaper add. This is an very important issue and I would like to do this myself. We are a single family income and money is tight. Thank you for your time in this matter.

I am also in search for the adoption kit. I have called the circuit court here in St. Mary's County in Maryland and I actually called the Administrative Judge. The judge said, we can file the petition on our own for as long as we know what are the procedures and what are the requirements that we need...but, I was told to get legal advice from a lawyer (which again, we don't want to do because it's too expensive). My husband wants to adopt my child, but we have consulted different lawyers around the area and they charge a minimum of $1,000!!!!! I have searched thru the internet and found something on www.myshoppingonline.com and search for DO-IT-YOURSELF ADOPTION KIT. It's only $27.95. I just found that today and I am going to tell my husband about this when he gets home from work. It's a money back guarantee if you think it's not good for you. Check on that, it can help you. We probably might go on that and submit it to the court ourselves.
Good luck on your adoption process and God bless you!! |
