I Have a Question About Stepparent Adoption

I HAVE REMARRIED A WONDRFUL MAN, WHO LOVES MY DAUGHTER DEEPLY. SHE FEELS THE SAME ABOUT HIM, SO MY HUSBAND WOULD LIKE TO ADOPT HER.

THIS IS WHO MY DAUGHTER HAS ALWAYS CALLED DADDY. HOW SHOULD I GO ABOUT THIS CONSIDERING MY EX-HUSBAND WON'T TALK TO ME EITHER WAY ABOUT IT.

I have almost the same problem. My ex hasn't seen my two year old since she was 5 months old. He has never paid child support. My husband has been my daughter's daddy since she was 3 months old, and doesn't just want to be her step-dad. I don't even know where my ex is, and am scared to try to find him, because he's threatened all of us repeatedly. Good luck.
