Step-Mother wants to adopt step-daughter
Heres my story,
My husband and I have been together 10 years. We have only been married 8 but however, he has an 8 yr old daughter soon to be 9, that wants me to adopt her. She has been with my husband and I since she was 4 months old. Her mother just got out of prison in September and wants her. It isnt happening. ANyways, Her bio mother will not give me permission to adopt her. She has NEVER bought her anything, called her, wrote her, or shes never paid child support even though it was ordered. Can I adopt her even though she will fight it?
