my husband wants to adopt my son who is 13 years old. The problem is my ex husband refuses to sign over his rights. My ex husband is 2 1/2 years no payment at all in child support, he has been jailed twice for non payment of child support by child support enforcement. He is currently incarcerated in Mississippi for alot of felony charges. He is getting out next wednesday. My court date isn't until november. Does anybody know anything about arkansas law. My ex hasn't seen my son in almost 2 years. My current husband and i have 2 daughters together and have been married for almost 11 years. So my son knows his stepdad as his father. He knows who his biological father is, but he wants nothing to do with him. If anybody has any information or has had a similar experience. Also my ex husband will be on parole for 3 years so i think if he gets into any trouble he will go back to jail. I think that would include child support. If you have anything to add please let me know. Thanks in advance for any help i get.
