Curious too..
Let me know if You found anything..
When I was in a state orphange in 82 they had a program like this. Any holiday really, when no one was around to pick you up.. I met some of the most wonderful people I think I'll ever know. I tried to find them later in life but attempts failed.. With the way this sad world is anymore it would be hard to do, anymore I'd think.. The home I was in Bethesda Home for Boys in Savannah, Ga. They stopped doing it and alot of other things. You used to be able to pick a child and fill there christmas list for them.. But I guess now not everyone gets a list filled so the best thing was to drop it... I wanted to do something like this in tenn, being from knoxville, but no one ( I've found yet ) has this.. You can donate money, But I only donate to specific things, not pay raises ( exaggerating ).. But I want to know Exactly where my money goes.. But I'm for one am really interested in doing this also.. I know first hand the positive effects it had on me and would love to share the same experience with another and payback in a way those wonderful people who opened their hearts and home.. Has anyone found any information about sponsoring a child for Christmas? I am very interested in fostering and adoption and this sounds like a good starting point. Also, it would allow a child to have Christmas in a home getting plenty of attention and warmth.
