Question Kentucky

anyone out there that is waiting in KY?

We attended our PS-MAPP classes March 7th - April 4th 2009.

We have had home study, Fingerprints & Background checks all come back by then.

Now It has been a waiting game, to get approved!

Does anyone know how LONG, it takes, after EVERTHING is turned in to get approved?

I am not waiting, but know with the cutbacks it will probably take longer than in the past. I think it took us 4 weeks from the time everything was turned/done in until we were approved.

Thumbs down

Hi,
We finished the training in November 06 and The approval letter is signed middle of December. The letter arrived around the middle of January.
I know with the cut backs it is taking longer.
Hang in there and I will be praying for you

Question Thank You!!!

Thank You for Responding so Soon!

What Cut Backs? They did not tell us abt. any during Training!
They said that They had a shortage of Foster Homes, if anything!

There aren't enough, and they can't get them recruited fast enough!

Everytime I call My SW, (once a week).
She says that she has been sooooooooo BUSY,
that She hasn't even had time to get to it.

We have 2 ICPC coming Through from OH. for Foster/Adopt.

That is why I call once a week. 1 is already here!
(paperwork).

Thanks for they prayer!!!

That is why I check once a week

Hi,
Yes you definately have to stay on them.
My understanding is our office lost several case workers and that they are trying to hire more so that is where the cutbacks are nothing bad they (cw) are just very busy.
What region are you in?
I'm in Northern Kentucky. Just hang in there and you will hear something soon...
Let me know if you have any other questions that I may be able to help you with.

mckmom10, from your job descript we live in the same area.

My understanding is that they do not have the funding to rehire workers that they have lost. My SW has lost at least two that are on her 'team'.

Smile Thanks!!!

Thanks, for the info.
My ICPC paperwork came in for one of the two children, that we are getting. Hopefully that caseworker can connect with this one and we will know something shortly! Yes, that is soooooooo sad, that the state won't replace the SW, and make the already high case loads even higher! Let's be praying for our SW's.
