My daughters adoption was finalized last month she was with us year before it was finalized. We are looking to adopt again just trying to find outwhat the rules are about how long we need to wait and what we have to do? We kept our cert. current by taking courses from foster agency and just had to have background check done to finalize since its a yr passed, Also just wondering rules and children sharing rooms.

I think this probably will differ based on what county and state you are in. We had our boys for a year before we finalized and then another year before our homestudy was updated. Shortly after it was updated to include our oldest two boys we were chosen for our third son. It was 16 months after their finalization that we got our next placement. We also had to redo our physical, friends surveys, attend orientation, etc. to update our homestudy but didn't have to take our PRIDE classes since it had been less than 5 years. Hope this helps but I would contact your county and see what their rules are.

BTW we submitted the paperwork necessary to update our homestudy when we filled out the boys adoption papers, our county just took a year to update the homestudy. (Yes they are a little slow!)
