I am from Georgia and am in the process of finishing up my homestudy. I will often times look at the GA photo listing of children, but they don't update their site very often at all. I've also gone to adoptuskids.org. My question is, if I looked at the photo listing of kids in other states, would I have an opportunity to adopt a child from another state or does it have to be in GA only, where I did my training and homestudy?

You need to find out from your worker/agency if they work with interstate adoptions. It also depends on who "owns" your homestudy profile. Im in PA, and for us to do an interstate adoption we have to pay the $1500 for the profile, but if it is within state adoption we don't have to pay anything for it.

Each state, county, agency, worker is different. You need to specifically ask yours, because some places will only look out of state after a certain amount of time instate. Im sure someone else here on the board can provide an answer more specific to GA.
