Is it easier to adopt from the foster care system after you've adopted before? Thank you! Kim & Clark

Hi Kim, I would guess there won't be any shortcuts, you will have to go through the whole process. We adopted internationally several years ago, then we did foster care for a couple years, and now we are going through the entire drawn-out process to adopt special needs children. Along the way, we've been taking classes and learning as much as we can about the needs, behaviors, experiences etc. that we will be seeing with these special needs kids. So, a long drawn-out process is not necessarily a bad thing. Good luck in your journey. Julie
