Foster care homestudy--transferrable?
Hi All,
Just wondering if anyone has ever done a homestudy through foster care and then decided to adopt, out of state, through foster care. How can we get a copy of our homestudy?? I am in Hawaii now and we are wishing to adopt a boy from Florida. Has anyone been in a similar situation? Any help would be appreciated  .Thanks, Karen bd 6 and 3

I'm in NJ. I tried to get a copy but have not had a return call from DYFS (after repeated tries). A private agency said I would have to get my HS redone.

We just asked our social worker to send it to the child's social worker. If the child is in foster care and you are a foster parent it should not be a problem.

Hoping to adopt this summer
