I am appliying for fost/adopt. Our license has not yet been granted but an opportunity may be presenting itself for us to be a kinship placement for a sibling group that we know. Although we were planning on only accepting placements that were likely to result in adoption, we are willing to take these children as foster placements while their parents try to get it together.
So here's the question....what is the maximun number of children that Oklahoma allows in a foster home? We already have 2 children and this is a sib group of 4. This would put us with 3 boys in one room and 3 girls in another. That is rather full, but we feel that it is better than going to strangers--since we are basically family and the sw is hopeful that they might return to their home. Thank you in advance for any responses. I have tried to contact the sw but can't get her on the phone. I would like to know if this is even a possibility before I approach the worker about this.

I was told 6 when I became a foster home about 2 years ago. It could be less if you don't have adequate room. Hope this helps.
