What!?
A year ago we where blessed with our little boy. He was placed with us at age 2, already we where his fourth placement, he had been in state care since birth. From what I understand termination was filed in March of 2003. As it turns out b-mom decided that she would try her cards at the potential of being native american. She claimed over 30 different tribes. About a year later, after our little guy had been placed with us for a few months we came to fine out that his paper work was lost by LICWAC and they had to start the process all over again. Meanwhile our little guy is suffering, he hates having to go to the visits, he will even go as far as hurting himslef (scratching his face) He seams confused as to why he has to go see these people who he does not really know, he has never lived with them, and an hour every other week is the full extent of his meeting with either one of them, and not even consistently. As it turns out now for the fourth time they are cancelling the termination date because bio-dad is now in compliance again. It is always one thing or another with this case. Not to mention a relative has come forward and decided that after three years they would like to raise our little guy. The last thing thiskid needs is to move, let alone to yet another staranger's. It seems that the AG is saying that he will be moved because that is policy, even though no one wants him moved. Everyone from GAL, perm planning, case worker says he needs to stay where he is. Even though LICWAC has not heard back from all tribes, they have stated that he needs to stay where he is and they have given the approval for the termination. Are they really going to take out little boy? Does anyone have the childs best interest in mind? Can anyone help? Has anyone else been through this before?
I am sorry that I have gone on for so long, I feel desperate.
