Living In Texas And Want To Adopt My Niece And Nephew, Need Information
I am hoping someone can provide me with some information. My niece has two children who are 4 and 3, her parental rights were permanently taken away as of yesterday. These kids are now going to be put up for adoption. My niece wants my husband and I to adopt her kids, and we want to also. Here is the problem, because my husband is in the military we do not live in Kansas, we currently live in Texas. Does anyone know if Kansas will allow an in-family adoption if the adopters live in another state? I am desperate for any information anyone can give me. Any and all help is very much appreciated.
