Questions upon Questions
Hello I am a 23 yr old female form Toledo,Ohio!
I am married to a wonderful man(32 in feb) and I have a step daughter (who does not live with us) we have her every other weekend..Well heres the story.. When I was 12-15 yrs old I stop having periods when I was 15 they put me through test after test, finding out I went through menopause and my body does not produce eggs..I have been offered to be a mother or a few children ,till at the end getting my hopes up due to the mother keeping the baby(which I am glad they kept them).Anyways My husband and I would like to make our everyday home complet and I would love to be title mom...My stepdaughter was told if she wanted to she could call me mom,she choosed not too(i was fine with that) She has a mom! Anyways tons of people are recommending me to go through the state to foster to adopt,What do they offer? I know adoption is VERY expensive and its something we could never afford and here we have BIG hearts for children..Can anyone explain how the foster to adopt through the state can be easier and cheaper? thanks |

My husband and I are looking to adopt through the state. Most fees are covered except for background checks and physicals.
I have been told by a few people that adopting from the state can be difficult emotionally but there can be and often are great rewards. We aren't planning to foster right now and would like to adopt a girl younger than 6. I know it may be impossible but we're going to try. Good luck to you. If you want to, you can PM me to talk more. Questions
In regards to state adoption. The state of Ohio pays for Non-reoccuring expenses in adoption. They will pay up to a certain amount. The only thng we had to pay for in our adoption was our fingerprints, and physical but our indurance paid for them. We also had to pay the filing Fees but were reimbursed after the adoption was finalixed. This was only $ 240.00.
We have adopted a 7 year old boy and are inthe process of adopting a 5 year old girl. So under the age of 6 is possible if you are open to behaviors/special needs Etc. The time will be a shorted wait. If you have any other questions PM me. Social1 Proud adopted mom to 1 and Foter to adopt mom to 1. |
