Which state did you finalize in?
The "placing" state or the "receiving" state? Or both? We should be finalizing in a few months, and I've gotten different explanations about this from each state. Am further checking with our state's ICPC office, but wondered how it's worked with any of y'all...

We also got conflicting info about where we would need to finalize, but we are set to finalize in our current (the receiving) state. You just need to show the courts that you reside in the state, and that everything has been cleared (parental rights mainly) in the other state and therefore they have jurisdiction over the case.

I live in Michigan I got a call that I could finalize in Texas and have my daughter the week before Christmas (1998) or I could finalize in Michigan and wait until after her 1st birthday sometime either in January or February. I got her the next day and finalized in Texas. I didn't have to go to Texas to finalize it I did it over the phone with a lawyer for the agency meeting with the Judge and me on the phone.
