Hi everyone...we are in the process of becoming foster parents in KS. One question I have is whether you can use babysitters? My social worker said they have to be certified. Now does that mean you cant drop them off with your mom for a few hours or have your neighbor stay with them while you run to the store? I am wonderin you you experienced foster parents work that out. Thanks for your time.

in mo, all babysitters need a can screening and must be over 18 years old. when i first became a foster parent, i had anyone i thought i might need as a baby sitter at some point, fill out can screenings so that once i had a child in my home i would have a large group to utilize.
