Adopting then moving out of state
I am a foster mom. I have three kiddos and will be finalizing on two of them in January. The third is still in court due to some ICWA law issues-whole other topic. I really have two questions:
1. If I move out of state, will the subsidies and medicaid be affected? 2. Once TPR is done on my third, can I move out of state prior to her adoption being finalized? I don't know if anyone will know the answers to these questions, but I thought I would ask and see. Thanks! |

Hi,
You would still receive the subsidy and the medical card would be transferred to your new state. We may face this same issue next July and will have 2 kids with us not adopted. We will be permitted to take them with us as they are going to be permant placements with us. Best of luck Michelle
