Hello fellow Louisiana Peoples!
I was reading your post and was wondering if you guys can give me your opinion about somethings. My case worker for the kids seems to have trouble calling me back and she tells me of cancled family meetings at the last minute when she has known about this for a week or more. She is also giving me what seem like limited info. She has given me alot of wrong info too. Most of the stuff I have found out was through my classes to become certified FP. What I mean by wrong info is, like what days the child care covers for children who are in school. She also had me give the daycare a check for a day that the state wouldn't cover. It was when the kids first got here and was the end of the month so the state wanted to pay from the first not the 30th. I paid and handed my paper work in to get paid back and still have not gotten paid. She said that she will get the daycare paid and then I have to get my money from the daycare. I think that it should be her tracking my money down...what do you think? Also, I can't get a straight answer out of her as to if the state will pay for teachers meeting days. I reallly don't want to be a pain in the butt or tattle on her but.....this is really getting silly. i have to track her on parent meeting days and then try to get all the information in to her and questions I might have too. Do you guys think I should call her super or not? I am really fustrated and am sick of waiting on her......you know it almost looks like she is trying to give the paents a hand out. Like she is trying to beef up their case and efforts (if any) to get this case off her hands. Does anyone have any experince that you could pass on to me? Please let me know what the rules are and what I should know and shouldn't. I would go on about the kids medical cards but I think I have been so long winded as it is. Sorry for the typos... Thanks, L |

I am so sorry you are having such difficulty. I would try to discuss your issues with her first before going to a supervisor b/c you don't want her to resent you. If she will not assist you like you need after you confront her about it then I would go to a supervisor. There are many wonderful caseworkers out there. Please don't judge all of them by that one. Maybe your kids can get reassigned.
