This is my first post here so HELLO everyone. We are in the process of learning about adoption. We seem to be interested in a private open adoption. We are involved with children on a daily basis and would be interested in all children-not just newborns. Id love to hear any info that you would be willing to give me. Also, if there is a situation that is unique with a mother or an expecting mother we would be interested in hearing about it. Thanks in advance to all who take the time to reply.

Have you considered contacting the Department of Health and Human Services in your area? They have information regarding children that never gets published. There are so many children out there who need a family. Good luck to you. Blessed Be.

Even private adoptions still have to have a homestudy. Why not start the process and see where it takes you? We're fostering with an eventual intent to adopt if the right situation comes along. We have two bios (one almost out of hs, the other entering jrhigh). The information in the CWTI classes is very helpful to any parent. And, you can look at the photolistings in the DHHS office to see if any strike you as potentials. Good luck in your process.
