Hi! We live close to you...just south in Basehor, KS. My boyfriend and I are starting our MAPP classes in February, and we are excited about learning more about how we can fit into the system. Yes, you are not far from us at all. We are now done with our MAPP classes and you learn so very much in those classes. They are so much fun. We got into this as we cant have any children of our own. We tried for about 5 years So, we will foster to adopt and we cant wait. We have no human children but we have 5 doggies 4 yorkies and 1 saint bernard and they are the love of our lives.My email address is Our4yorkies@sbcglobal.net if you would like to chat more. Hello Tanna! We are not far from you either! we are right on Perry Lake.We took our MAPP classes 2 summers ago and then decided to adopt so went ahead with a private agency as we were thinking international. We are currently awaiting the arrival of our newest son (he's 5) from .....TX!! I have already spoke with the wonderful ladies up at KAW Valley there in Atch. When we finallize we will do foster to adopt. We so love children and would have a bus full if possible!

Congrats on completing your MAPPS and enjoy the journey you are now on! My folk did Foster then adopted the last 2 girls who were with them.

Saying hi from Kansas also. We're near Manhattan. We are just beginning our research into adoption as we just got married a little over a month ago. I would like to begin this process of finding our child or children ASAP; unfortunately DH wants to wait a while. We are looking into information for all kinds of programs -- international has been our focus but most countries have too many restrictions for me to like that idea very much. Anyway, just looking around and figured I'd say hi.
