For those of you who remember me. I am still sad that the social worker in my area refused me the opportuinty to become a foster or adoptive parent because I went to counseling for a short time after my fathers death as a teenager. Wouldn't that eliminate 99% of people from being foster or adoptive parents? Anyway, four months ago, I requested a copy of the records she used to deny me before the consideration process even began. You have to remember it took her four months to decide to deny me. I told her I would send the email to her supervisor if she did not respond in ten days. At day 9 3/4 she responded, then said she could not send the records that she used to disqualify me. I wrote back and said she could, and snet all four emails to her supervisor. I know she has something in those records that is not true, and I have the right to have them fixed. If not, there is no reason to deny me. Just to know, I do know peope with severe mental disorders who have adopted children, but I am denied because I had no family memeber to grieve with over the loss of my father? How sad the system in this region is. I am fighting to get my record set straight so I can move on an adopt from a respectable agency.

I am sorry to hear about all your problems!! I know it must be so frustrating. At least if you are denied I feel like you should get to see why. To be denied and then not even have peace of mind as to why just isn't right. I really hope that you get everything straightened out. I have finished my classes, my homestudy, and it has been submitted for approval. I should find out soon if I am approved or not. Best Wishes to you. I know everything will work out for you. I HAVE BEEN IN SYTEM FOR 12 YEARS AND YES THE SYSTEM SUCKS AS FAR AS THE TRUE AND HONEST PPL WHO REALY DO CARE I COMMEND THEM BUT THE OTHER THAT SAY THEY DO HURTS FOSTER CARE SYTEM UP ALOT JUST HOW I FEEL
