Searching for Mary Ashton Jarvis, from New Rochelle NY

I was born in the New Rochelle Medical Center, New Rochelle, NY on July 22, 1962. My mothers name is Mary Ashton, born in the 1940s. ('44 - '45) It is believed she was 17 when she had me. Alfred A. Jarvis married her when she was 6 months pregnant with me by another man...My mother wasn't able to provide for me and left me in a dresser drawer (designed to be my crib) in a hotel, where the maids found me. Social Services would not allow my grandparents to have custody of me because their relationship with my mother was not a good one.

My Grandfather was a Sergeant at Fort Dix, in New Jersey, his last name is McMorrow, and his family resided in Maryland...

I found Alfred Jarvis, the man who married my mother and he said the last he heard she was headed to California to pursue a beauty career but had also heard rumour that she died...

Mary Ashton also had another baby girl named Tatiana (tatania?)Forlano in 1964 who was adopted.....

Nothing has been set in stone for me yet...I have been bouncing around my entire life. I am soon to be 41 years old, have four lovely children I have raised, and now two beautiful Grandchildren, but I always feel so incomplete and disconnected...If all I ever find is a gravestone, at least I will have a place to go to and sit, talk and make my peace...
