We are interested in foster care and hoping to adopt. We showed an interest back in Nov, completed the paperwork and training in Jan, but haven't heard from the caseworkers about our home study. We were told our county has only one other foster family and they are full. We have a large home and yard and are ready to foster but can't seem to find anyone interested enough to do the home study and get us started. It seems a shame that there are waiting sibling groups, babies and teens and here we are ready to provide a good home for over four months and haven't been contacted. How long have others waited? This is making us wonder we will never be able to reach the case workers if we ever have a question or problem!

I'm responding to my own post! I was certified and called about three children on the same day back in July. And we were right on target about how busy the state workers are.
