I am looking forward to my oreintation tommorow. But there seems to be so many offices contracted with DCFS, can you belong to more than one organization or listed at more than one office? I look forward to hearing from you. Going to read posts from before I joined. Hoping to gather useful information for tommorow night.
Thank you |

I'm not exactly sure but I don't think you can be "listed" in multiple offices. If DCFS in another area is unable to place a child within their own jurisdiction, they'll begin to look outside the area to surrounding counties. I don't think that happens much with the younger kids. They are generally placed pretty quickly within their own areas. The older kids do frequently cross borders though.
Hope this helps, Dawn |
