My friend is a foster parent. I really want to adopt one of her foster children, but they live in Ohio and I live in Kentucky. Can you adopt a child from a different state?

Hello.
Sure you can. Contact your state DSS Foster/Adoption Agency and tell them just that. Get certified, do your home study and persue them to follow up on the out of state request. If there is a reciprical with both states for adoption that would help ease up the process. Sounds easy and I'm sure it's not. Anything is possible if your have the will. Good luck, Laraine |
