Hi Ann73,
Think we have "spoken" before? Was hoping to get this forum started with lots of people.
Sounds like a full house! Does that make 5? Are they all there? I have three bios's . Two boys and one girl. WE are about to adopt a 6 wk old girl with special needs and can not wait to meet her!!!!
When you say the Lake Region does that mean the Lincoln area? I'm about 30 minutes North of Lincoln.
I wish we could get a good support group going on-line for us Maine foster/adoptive parents. There is not much in that department in this area of the state.
Liz

Hi! Total of 6 kids, 3 bio, 1 adopt, and 2 foster. We live in Bridgton an hour away from portland. I know there has to be mainers out there, hope they will join us! Congrats on your new little one! how exciting!!! I am off tomorrow to take my foster children to their evaluation. my fs will turn 3 soon and only says a handfull of words, mostly whines and cries VERY loud, when he wants to communicate something to us. It is very frustrating for him, us, and the other children! my fd is 16 months, and a doll, she has some delays also. I can't wait for the holidays withn these two, they are amazed by the tree, santa, and all the great holiday shows that are on. talk to you soon!

Hello...Ann73 and to Liz

Hello:
How are both of you? We have spoken before. Liz, I saw that you are planning to adopt a 6 week old girl, but have you started foster care yet? Last we talked, you just received your license and were waiting for a placement. I am very happy for you. We have finished the fire marshall inspection and all he wanted us to do is put in a smoke alarm in the foster childs room. That was easy enough for sure. We start the classes on the 8th of January. We are very excited. Hope to talk to you soon.
Tracey

Smile Newbie here in Northernish Maine

Hello,
I live in the Milo area. My husband and I are going to begin Foster Care Classes this coming Saturday. We are very excited to Foster, and will be open to adoption if the right match comes into our lives. I had also hoped for a large online support system for Foster Parents in Maine. Where are they all?

I do hope all of you are having a wonderful Monday. It is so uplifting to see the sun!!
Robin
