Hi! My name is AnnMarie and my husband and I live in Oshkosh. We've just started the process to adopt 2 children from Russia. We are using Adoption Services Inc in Appleton for our homestudy (turning in paperwork today) and probably Children's Hope International for the adoption agency.

We started off with LSS (Lutheran Social Services) for domestic infant, then switched to international, so I know a lot about their process and program as well.

We're just getting started, but we've been planning this since last fall--justwish we had decided back then to go international because we'd be a lot farther along by now! We're tired of waiting for kids!

Guatemala,right now we are in the waiting for referral stage
and hopefully by April we will hear some news. We have a

I hear ya, girl! We are from Appleton, and are also tired of waiting...Im a bad waiter anyway! We were on the list for india since last year, still no referral, so are now pusuing domestic...It took us a while to come to the adoption decision, but when youre ready, youre ready! I dont know about you, but I feel like our entire life has been on hold for the last 4 years, between infertility treatment and waiting to adopt....Ive been thinking about starting a waiting support group in our area...email me if youre interested!

My Dh and I are in process of adopting a 5-6yr old boy from Ukraine. We have 3 bio kids but the waiting is horrible!

We just went for fingerprinting today so at least I had one day to do something towards the adoption.

I read a lot of posts on the bulletin boards and that makes me feel better at least reading about someone else getting closer bring home their child and makes me feel closer to my son.
