Question RX's & Over The Counter Medications

How do the social workers like for them to be stored? Do they have to be locked up in a cabinet or what?

We have a single cabinet that is in the hallway. It is 4 foot tall and has long doors on it. Does it just need and Child proof cabinet lock or do they have to be in a box that we lock with a key or what? My dh and I were talking about it today and was wondering how they want them stored. Right now it is just sitting there full of OTC meds and RX's. Since dh's kids are 8 & 11 we do not have them locked up because they are old enough to know NOT to go into that cabinet.

What do you all suggest?
