Has anyone adopted from Arkansas? We completed our classes and turned our paperwork in on 5/20. Waiting to get our homestudy done. Would like to know how long other people had to wait?

We did the pride class in Feb of 2005 had our homestudy in may of 2005 and we are still waiting. We had a worker that was so busy that I think she just forgot about us. I called to tell her I got a pay raise and she told me that she had not been my worker for 5 months that she now does something else. Well It turns out she had misfilled us and so I called our new lady and she is great. She let us know that everything was up and needed to be redone and has been really helpful. It does take a long time though Did you see the KARK news spotlight done about it?

What part of Arkansas are you from? We live in Northeast Arkansas. I am going to contact our adoption specialist every two weeks so she wont forget about us again. We filled out the first paper work Nov 2005 and didn't start our class untill April 2006. We were told it was because of the holidays but we think she just forgot about us.

We are from southcentral ark. Our new worker is great she emails me almost once a week and now my husband and I are getting into the foster part. I hope they like us!
