Adopting from another state?
We have been trying to adopt a second time through the state of Oregon since last August. We have submitted our homestudy for many, many children, but have not been contacted once from any workers in Oregon.
We thought we would open up and start looking at children in other states, so we made some inquires regarding children in other states. We were contacted and asked to send our homestudy. When I contacted our worker today, she said she didn't think we could put in for these children. She said only children in Oregon, or off the Northwest Adoption Exchange. Does anyone have experience with this or, has anyone adopted through the state of Oregon but adopted a child from the foster care system in another state? Thanks in advance for any information/advice!

Hi We are trying to adopt in Oregon but are from Washington. We got a copy of our home study and send it in ourself. Washington really wants us to adopt with them but they have found anyone for us since Oct. of last year. So we started looking else where.
