Cheryl, we used an agency in Buffalo. Although they primarily do domestic adoption...they are affiliated with an adoptive parent support group called SOFIA (Supporting Our Friends Interested in Adoption). You can contact them at sofiaadoption@yahoo.com or call 741-3046 to find out more. The group has many families that have adopted internationally and can perhaps steer you towards meeting other families.

Good luck!

Hi Cheryl - I live in the Buffalo area and my son is an International Adoptee. In July we'll celebrate our 2nd Adoption Day! He's from Bulgaria and is a beautiful, sweet child. He's 4 1/2 and a handful. I've met alot of people in the are who have adopted Internationally. I guess I never much thought about it until I did it. It's funny, you feel a special 'kinship' to those who have adopted.

Feel free to contact me, the waiting game can be rough.

Kel

Cheryl,

I am also from the Buffalo area and new to the adoption process. My husband and I just starting looking into it. What agency are you using?
GOOD LUCK!
Joanne
