Hi everyone! My name is Niffer and I am new here. Not only am I new to this thread, but I am moving to Tennessee in February and I am adopting my first child in July, from another state.
My husband and I had been trying fertility treatments for three years with no success when we were approached by a family member and asked to adopt their baby that is due in July. We said yes.
So, now that I moving I am wondering, does anyone know any good lactation consultants in the Clarksville or Nashville areas? We are going to try adoptive breastfeeding and I know I have to get started on that immediately. Has anyone tried this or know anyone who has!

Welcome Niffer! I am in the Mt. Juliet, Tennessee area. My friend breastfed her adoptive son with great success but she says you should consult your Ob/gyn now to get started and make sure your milk is in for the baby. Good Luck.
