Murray

Is anyone else doing an international adoption near or around Murray Kentucky. I am adopting from China and reside in Calloway County. My agencies are Western Kentucky Methodists and Children's Hope International. We have sent our dossier to the State and should have it back soon to go to D.C. and then off to China---hopefully before the New Year. Is anyone else out there doing this or has done this who wants to chat?
Take care all,

Where is Sturgis

I'm not sure where Sturgis is. Are you also adopting from China? We are still waiting to have our dossier sent to Chia. We had a glitch with our medical forms...had to have them redone. Otherwise all is well. we are working on the nursery now.

Lissa,
My mother-in-law owns a barber shop there in Murray. We are station in Japan and are about to start the court procedures to adopt our son. Things work a little differently here in Japan. Court takes anywhere from 3-9 months depending on the court/judge. We didn't do the whole dossier, I-600A and all that. There is a law that if the baby is in your home for two years, you can then bring it to the states and become legal. But you cannot live in the states for those 2 years. We have talked about adopting from China when we are 30. We still have 3 more years to go. Which is perfect because we have a 3 year old son and a 6 week old son. Good luck.
Lyndsi
