Question about stepparent adoption
I have a fairly odd question and am unsure were exactly to post it. My husband would like to adopt my daughter who is 12. I was born and raised in WA as was she. We now live in the Netherlands though and are wondering if we would need to do the adoption in WA or in the Netherlands? My husband is dutch. My divorce was done in WA and we have not heard anything from her biological father in 3 1/2 yrs. My other question is if the adoption is done here if it would be legal in the U.S.?
Any idea's or comments are greatly appreciated! I just have been unable to find alot of info on this particular situation! :-) Janet
