idaho child abuse clearance

How do I get the clearance? My social worker isn't giving me much help in obtaining this for the homestudy.

Does anyone know which government agency to contact?

??

not sure what you mean by "child abuse clearance". I have never come across that term. if you mean a background check that is a form the sw gives you or you can go right to the state patrol and get a form from them.

Have you been fingerprinted by Health and Welfare yet? We had to have that done and a copy was sent to our social worker and to us saying that we were cleared. I believe Health and Welfare will have the form you need to fill out.

Hope this helps,
Barbie

clearance

Do you mean to prove you are not on the list of child abusers?? That is obtained through Health and Welfare. You should be able to call child protection and ask how to get proof you are not on the list and never have been. I had to do that a while back to prove to some wacko my kids had never been removed.

Yours is different but I imagine if you find the number and call they can give you the info. This is also used to screen day care workers so if you know anyone with a license to care for children they probably have the correct Boise number.

For those not aware, Idaho has a list that a person is placed on for any trivial matter involving a child. It is not through a court, just if there is ANY investigation a person is put on this list for five years.

Thank You for all your information. We needed the clearance for international adoption. Our social worker found out where to get it. Thank you for all your input.
