I am a scrapin' junkie!!

Hi luv2scrap!!

I love it too!! My MIL got me started a couple of years ago. She bought me my first scrapbook and one pair of scissors for Christmas and I thought she was crazy. I have added a bunch of things to my collection since then.
I am currently working on 6 scrapbooks at the same time!! My MIL asked me to make a scrapbook for all of her kids of their dad. (He passed away suddenly in 2002) It is going to be a surprise to everyone except my husband, of course. My MIL is even going to be surprised, because I thought if I was making one for each of her 5 kids, then I ought to make one for her too!! She is really spending a lot of money on this gift, getting 5 copies of all the pictures wasn't cheap. I am using all of the originals for her book, which I am paying for. I know my MIL, my husband and his brothers and sisters will cherish it forever.
I also have a book started for my son. His has obviously been neglected for the past year, but as soon as I get the others done I need to get busy on his.
Take care and keep scrapin'
Kathi

Talking

I love scrapbooking too! I even became a Stampin Up demonstrator so I could network with other scrapaholics!!! (And I have lots of fun)

I just went to a crop on Saturday and did 7 pages!!! (This is a record for me - 7 pages in 1 sitting).

I am working on new pages for the album I gave my bMom in June, when we met. I need to have more pages done by November - that is when I fly to her home for the 1st time!!

(I am so nervous!)

Our first phone call was May 17th, 2004. I live across the country from her, as does her son - my 1/2 brother. She flew out here in June to tell her son about me, and we met up. I got to meet her, my 1/2 brother, as well as a bunch of relatives on my bDad's side. (One of my bMom's friends is also my bDad's sister).

The day she was flying home was also her birthday. So for her birthday I started a 8 1/2 X 11 scrapbook of me. When I gave it to her it had from the first pic I had (15 months) to coming home (16 months) to when my adoption was finalized (2 1/2). She loves it, and wants me to do more pages. It is very hard to scrap yourself as a kid, ya know?
