Native American adoption
I adopted twins in 1977 in North Carolina. Their birth mother's father was half Cherokee. I adopted thought Childrens' Home Society. My children and I are trying to find information on their birth family. The birth mother had other children at the time they were born. Has anyone in North Carolina been successful in getting their birth records opended.
