Alright, we found an agency, and they're really nice, and they really seem to want to work with us, but she needs us to take an adoption orientation and pre-adoption education class before she'll start the actual process. We're willing to travel to the twin cities for one, but all of the orientations seem to be on weeknights, and it's a 3 1/2 hour drive! pre-adoption training classes are during the week mostly too.

I know not all of the oreintations/training meetings are posted on-line, but I'm getting dizzy with phone calls. If anybody knows of any of these classes that are on the weekend in the twin cities, or are in north-eastern MN, please message me.

Hi, I live in the twincities and have applied to foster to adopt through my county. Some agencies have their own trainings as do the county. I start my trainings Aug 3rd. I have looked also in the beginning for weekend trainings or orientations and have not found it. Mine are all during the week during the day. I have one training day that is on a Saturday. The orientation was in the evening. Did you look on the Nacac site?

Thank you. I know. But I seem to be getting things straightened out. We found an orientation up here next wedesday. There were a few others, but we'd missed them all by less than a week. And its a good thing we found it, because the next one is in OCTOBER! Anyway, the orientation will be enough to get the process started, and there will be a training up here in the fall, so we'll take that one. Thanks again for the help.
