I am in serious need of a Parents of Children with FAS support group. I am in central Arkansas -- anyone know of one?

Sorry, no help here with FAS. I have been having trouble locating any kind of support with SN kids. Arkansas has very limited resources, it's like a time warp. LOL! Good Luck to you and if you want to talk about anything email me, I will help all I can.

hi elayna,
i am in jonesboro, but our support group never really discusses fas - i wish it did. i am adopting a child with fas. support in this area is not good. its like dhs doesn't want support because you will find out things they don't want you to know. we helped anchor a group, but they have no idea about how to get started. i am trying to get more info on fas because i know our son has it. he was tested at children's and disgnosed as borderline - enough to say he has it, but not enough to get subsidy or even a deferrment for later. i will keep in touch with you if you like. maybe we can support each other. good luck donna |
