I have just married "step sons" mom. We have now been together for a total of 2 years. I have been the step dad since the boy was 3 months old. In every sense I am the father. I have taken care of him for 2 years now providing every need for him. The BF has had nothing ot do with him. BF hasn't paid court ordered support, or had any contact with the boy. He calls me and knows me as daddy. We have recently moved to Florida. I am trying to start the process of adoption. I am not worried about BF trying to become a dad, cause I know he has no care to do so. I just don't know the steps. Do I file in Florida, Indiana, or both. Money isn't an issue, cause I will use any resource, to get the adoption to go trhough. I mean this guy doesn't have a clue about the boy. What am I to do?
