Born Charlotte 1969 - Looking for advice...
I am looking to obtain paternity information from the State of North Carolina. I was born in Charlotte on December 23, 1969, and placed for adoption by Catholic Social Services. I have known that I was adopted since a very young age. I am now 34 years old and preparing for the birth of our first child in August. I know very little about my biological origins, and would like to know what I am passing along to my son. A few years ago, I was told by Catholic Social Services that in order to obtain this information, I need a court order, and must have a reason for obtaining such an order, like needing a transplant or something equally bad. At that time, I didn't pursue any further, but now I want my records unsealed. I have little interest in meeting my birth parents: I do not feel that there is any positive in tracking them down after all these years. My adoptive family is my family, and that's that. I would certainly not decline if they did want to meet me, though. I harbor no ill will and I will always be thankful to them for giving me a chance to live.
I currently reside in the suburbs of Detroit, MI. I am 6'0" tall and large built, weighing 255 lbs. I have fair skin, blonde hair and blue eyes. I believe myself to be Northern European in heritage, maybe Scandanavian. I'm sure that I could get a lawyer that would take my case, but I don't have the time or financial resources to make it happen. Any advice on my situation would be very helpful... |

first of all you need to look up on the forum the birth index downlaod this and all of the codes once you have this you will get some info that you didnt know about for instance the county that b mom lived when she delivered you once you have cracked the codes( not a easy feat i might add) you will be at least one step closer than you were before also it gives the county that you were born in all you need to know is birth weight, date and preferably non id info on b parents like age hope this helps!!!!
