Our family is looking at moving to Hawaii in the next 1-2 years, and we are also considering adoption. We would appreciate any help in who to talk to. We are not looking to adopt an infant, but instead a child 1-3 years old. Any help is appreciated!

We used to live in Hawaii. We looked into adoption but at the time it wasn't right for us. There are a lot of children through the state who need adopting. And most of them are older children. We went to an introduction meeting for the Casey Family Program. You first get approved for foster care and then you can adopt. It seemed like a good program but just not right for us. You can also just call the state and they will put you in touch with who you need to contact. A lot of children over in Hawaii are of Polynesian background. They are beautiful children.
