Hi,
I was wondering do any of you have an experance with adopting children in the Pekin or peoria IL area?
Thats where i live so thats where I would be dealin with
when it comes time to adopt.

So if ya have let me know if there's any info or anything i could use.

The Cradle, based in Evanston, Illinois used to have an office in Peoria. I think they closed it but they may still serve that area. Try them at 847-475-5800. They only do open adoptions and I believe, infants only.

What specifically do you need to know? Both of my children were adopted from Belleville Illinois. Are you specifically looking for an agency or an attorney?
We adopted through a private attorney but she worked out of Marion Illinois. (She has sent sold her practice.)
Our home study and the pre and post adoption social work was completed by Catholic Social Services which I would highly recommend contacting.
I would look in your yellow pages and also find an adoption support group. Other parents who have adopted are usually very helpful.

There's nothing set i'm looking for
just any input or tips to help it go along as good as it can
and suggestions of things to do
to help get ready for it all.

And any good bad experances.
I'm planing to adopt via the state.
