How to get started?
I'm looking for my birthfamily. I was adopted from Brazil in the early 80's and I have no idea where to start looking. I have no names and no one I can ask for details. I just know my own birth information and the city. Help?

There are usually searchers that work in particular countries. Be weary of any guarantees - be sure to speak with current and recently past families that have utilized the searcher. A good place to start is Yahoo Groups...they have many groups dedicated to birth families searches in international adoptions.
Good luck!

I never thought to check something like Yahoo, thanks. I didn't find out I had a half-brother until I was 17 and I've been curious ever since.
