I was born in Frankfurt Germany July 11 1975, my birth name is Markus Manfred Ottmar Heinz Roswitha. I've been told that I was passed around amoung family memebers and left at a German orphanage. I was adopted at 4 1/2 by an american family.

I'm searching for my birth mother, I've been told that her first name could be one of the following, Ann, Anna, Anna-Marie, Maria. I'm 100% sure of her last name " Roswitha ". I do not have a birth certificate and my adoptive parents are not willing to assist me. They have told me that they do not have the paperwork ( I obviously do not believe them ) As both parents are well educated and being organaized is crucial in there lives. Can anybody help me ?

Are you certain of your birth name? The reason that I am asking is that I am searching for my son, born about this same time in Germany (I thought near Regansburg). His mother's first name was Roswitha.

There is still someone living in Frankfurt by the last name Roswitha (which is a very rare name in Germany): Mr. Joerg Roswitha, Diemelstr. 6, 60486 Frankfurt, phone (069) 7895915, maybe man is a relative of your mother and can help with further information.

I'm 100% certain. I was able to verify this information with my adoptive mother. Although she has no documentation to support this ( she has stated that my adoption paperwork was given to my adoptive father at the time of the divorce, to date he denies having any such documents, this coming from a retired major in the army 25 years ) She was rather adamant about my birth name, and I walked away with the distinct impression she was telling me the truth. She was just as steadfast about my birth mothers last name but still unclear as to her first name ie Maria, Marie, or Anna Marie. If I can answer any other questions or if this has helped please let me know. I pray that you find your son, he's out there looking for you, just don't stop looking for him. He needs you.
