What to expect when traveling to Nicaragua for an adoption
Hello, my daughter (who is a single mother) is in the process of adopting a child from Nicaragua. She is going through an agency called MLJ adoptions and has asked for a little girl between 2 and 4 years old. Last week she was advised (finally!) that a referral has been made and that a little girl of between 4 and 5 years old has been identified. While awaiting further information, would be MOST appreciative of any/all advice from individuals who have adopted within the last year or two of what to expect (positive, challenges) once she arrives in Nicaragua. All she knows is that she should expect to be there for 8 weeks and that at the end of the first week she will receive the child who will stay with her until she leaves. Many thanks!
